Christmas Weekend at Quest Hotel ~ Clark Pampanga

Christmas has always been a holiday we all want to enjoy.  It is the time our families gather together to celebrate the birth of Jesus.  We are still in the midst of the pandemic and gatherings are discouraged, but still we want to make the Christmas weekend a festive one, and so we decided to go out of town and visit a place close to the Metro – Clark, Pampanga.

This was our first time to visit Clark.  We stayed for two nights at Quest Plus Conference Center Clark, visited Clark Safari and Adventure Park and spent an afternoon at the Air Force City Park.

Spending the Christmas weekend at Clark was a last minute decision.  Most hotels were already fully-booked when we decided that we wanted to spend some away-time from our home.  Clark was the best choice in terms of location – it was not as crowded as Tagaytay but only few hours away from Cavite.  Only few hotels were available when we were searching for a place to stay, and lucky for us that Quest Hotel Conference Center was one of them.

We booked the two-nights at Quest Hotel Conference Center Clark.  We arrived after lunch at Christmas day.  Our check-in was a breeze as we already paid for our accommodation online.

Deluxe King Room

We booked the deluxe room type.  It comes with a king bed and a day bed, perfect for our small family of three.  It has superb air-conditioning, LED television with cable, working station, mini-ref, electric kettle and coffee-making facilities.  Bottled water were also provided.  The bathroom comes with complete toiletries and bathrobes (I love hotels that provides bathrobes to guests!) but the deluxe room do not have a bathtub.

This day bed is just the perfect fit for our little boy.

We were also advised that the room was completely sanitized before our stay.

The work station (excuse the bags).

Prior to our stay, we requested a small surprise for our little boy who celebrated his birthday last December.  We appreciated that they put on a “Happy Birthday” banner in the bed and balloons for our child.

The room is small and very ideal for guests on business trip.  I think the hotel is a renovated one, the bathroom toilet is old and it does not have a bidet, which I think is a standard for hotel rooms.  The mini-ref in our room was not working properly and the staffs were very helpful, though it remained faulty all through our stay.

Since we stayed for two-nights, Quest Hotel gave us a Christmas Bear and Christmas pastries as tokens.  We appreciate the gesture.

Food

Breakfast was included in our booking.  Our son who is already 10 years old, was also included in the breakfast, no additional fee was requested from us.  The first morning, we had our breakfast at Charley’s Bar which is the restaurant on the ground floor of Quest Hotel.  We dined outside with the view of the Mimosa Park.  The second morning, we had our breakfast at Q Lounge which is at the top most floor of Quest Hotel.  We dined outside with the view of Mt Pinatubo.

Our breakfast experience, both at Charley’s Bar and Q Lounge, was excellent.  All food served were sumptuous.  There were several choices of foods; there are breads, pastries, cold cuts, salad, pasta, breakfast menu, cereals, and a lot more.  Staffs were very attentive.  What I like about our breakfast experience was that it was buffet style – but only staffs were allowed to serve the food.  You only have to point out what you wanted to eat and they will serve it to you.  No need for you or other people to touch the serving spoon and thus less transmission of germs/viruses.

Facilities/Amenities

Most of the Quest Hotel Conference Center Clark’s facilities are open.  The fitness center is open but with limited capacity.  The huge swimming pool and kiddie pool are open.  The kids play area is closed, however you can borrow toys or board games to be used in your room.  You can borrow a bike and drive it around the Mimosa Park.

Quest Hotel Conference Center Clark is located inside the Mimosa Park.  Mimosa Park is enormous, with a golf course located inside it.  The place looks and feel very safe.  There were very minimal people and the vast open-air area will make you feel safe.

Quest Hotel Conference Center Clark is one of the approved multiple-use hotel during this pandemic.  This means they are allowed to accept staycation guests as well as guests who are returning to the Philippines and are on quarantine.  Staycation guests are staying on specific floors, there are also separate entrances for guests who are on staycation and on quarantine; and we did felt safe during our stay.

Such a perfect view during our breakfast.

This hotel is owned by the same group that owns Crimson Hotel.  We had a 50/50 (good/sad) experience with Crimson Hotel Alabang,  but we have a very wonderful time with Quest Hotel Conference Center Clark.  We will surely stay in this hotel when we visit Clark again.

A happy holiday indeed!
