A Day Of R&R at Belmont Hotel

As a family, we are not really fond of staycations.  We prefer traveling when spending time as a family.  However, the start of the year will be a busy one for us so we will have to spend more time in hotels to celebrate and/or relax.

Last year, when I attended the Ad Summit 2018, I was fortunate to win an overnight stay at Belmont Hotel.  We decided to use it one weekend of January for some rest and relaxation.  Belmont Hotel is located at Pasay City and is walking distance to NAIA Terminal 3.  The hotel itself is small compared to other hotels we’ve been to but has complete amenities.

We normally have quick stays in hotels because either we check-in late or check-out early, but during this particular stay in Belmont Hotel, we were able to maximize it by checking-in on time and checking-out late.  We did have a rest-and-relaxation weekend at Belmont Hotel!

We were able to check-in fast, no security deposit was requested from us since we were using a gift certificate, and we were also given complimentary drinks.  We had a wonderful stay at Belmont Hotel and let me give you the reasons why.

Room – 4.5 out of 5.0.  The room type assigned to us is a superior room with one queen size bed.  We have the option of two single beds, but we chose the queen size one.  And good thing we did because the superior room of Belmont Hotel is really small in size.  What it lacks in size, the hotel room made up for other things.  It is almost complete with superb air-conditioning, LED television, mini fridge, coffee making facility, mini bar, working desk, and safety deposit box.  The bathroom, sadly do not have a bathtub, has a glass wall and comes with complete toiletries.  The room also comes with a bathrobe (I love hotel rooms with bathtub and bathrobes!), slippers, extra pillows, and complimentary bottled water.  Our room is located at the 2nd floor and our window is facing a small garden.  Had it not been a very small room (and if it has a bathtub), I would have given Belmont Hotel room a perfect score.

Amenities – 5.0 out of 5.0.  Belmont Hotel has complete amenities.  It has a roof deck with 360-degree panoramic view.  In the roof deck is a swimming pool and a jacuzzi.  There’s also a massage area and a bar, called Roof Top 11, at the roof deck.  Belmont Hotel has a gym and smoking area at the second floor.  It also has a sauna and steam room.  It also has ample parking spaces at the basement.  Valet services were also offered.

Staff – 5.0 out of 5.0.  The staffs at Belmont Hotel were really courteous and accommodating.  Even though we were using a gift certificate, we were treated a regular-paying guest.  We didn’t have any issues with staffs from reservations, checking-in, dining, using the amenities, and checking out.  They also assisted us to our rooms with initiative (I can identify a few hotels who assisted us in our bags and things when checking in with initiative, since most of the time we have to ask before they assist us).  The staffs were also attentive in making sure we had everything we need in our room.  The staffs were well-trained and polite.  This must be because they cater to both local and foreign guests.

Food – 4.5 out of 5.0.  Our gift certificate comes with buffet breakfast for two at Café Belmont.  I didn’t expect much on the menu, but Café Belmont surpassed my expectations.  It has a lot of food options but not as much as Taal Vista.  For the price of Php700 (half price for kids), I would say dining at Café Belmont is worth it.  The only slight issue is the size of the dining area.  Again, it is quite small.

Location – 5.0 out of 5.0.  Belmont Hotel is located at Newport area in Pasay City.  It is walking distance to NAIA Terminal 3 and Resorts World Manila.  Just in front of Belmont Hotel is St. Therese of Child Jesus Parish.  Belmont Hotel is near the airport, a mall, and a church!  It is strategically located indeed!

Value for Money – 4.8 out of 5.0.  Checking online, the superior room of Belmont Hotel with breakfast for two costs almost Php6,500.00.  At this rate, Belmont Hotel might be the cheapest hotel in Newport area.  With a very good location, nice room inclusions, superb amenities, and delectable foods, Belmont Hotel gives a great value to your money.

Disclaimer:  We used a gift certificate I won for our Belmont Hotel staycation and all opinions are mine.
